Family Room Details

The very first thing we did when we moved into this house were the floors. We replaced the current flooring with engineered hardwood by SLCC (Milky Way Collection in Venus). The second thing we did was this built-in in the family room. We hired a contractor and he nailed my Pinterest inspo photo to a T. We added shelves and cabinet doors to the right, where the alcove/desk combo was before. We also built right in front of that existing window on the right (ha). It's still there from the outside. In retrospect, the style is much more polished than anything I would've designed now a days; I may or may not daydream about ripping that marble tile off. But the storage is so incredible and it's the single most important piece of storage in our home, as it houses and hides 90% of the toys.
